Quote of the day

by ashbourne2 @ 2007-07-25 - 01:30:58

“When one door closes another door opens, but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.” -Alexander Graham Bell (1847-1922)

I suppose that we do that as we often don't like change!

Oh, all these years I have been getting the quotation wrong! I thought it was "When one door closes, another door shuts". >sigh

This is an very true saying. Looking back does stop you from moving forward in your life. It creates hurdles to slow you down. You can learn from the past but it is not useful to live in it when you have today, here and now, then tomorrow and a future to move on into.
